    Default Hello from Maryland

Just thought I'd say hi. I've been lurking and when I finally decided to move from my shavette to a real blade I ended up dealing with Larry from Whipped Dog. I'd say it saved me money, except I keep buying other shaving related things...

I started with a straight razor after reading an interview with Larry in the Wall St Journal.

Save money, eh? I now have about 15 straights in my drawer, stones, 3 strops, 5 soaps on the counter . . .

    I am having fun, though!

Ah yes, the argument that straight razor shaving will save you money is a sound one, if you stick to one razor only. But rarely is one razor enough and eventually the RAD slowly kicks in! Enjoy!

Just starting out you might want to stick to buying from guys on web sites such as this one. They know their razors. And while you might not get a 300$ razor for 20$ you might not buy s 5$ razor for 100$!
Read the daily shave sections see what people are using. It'll give you an idea of what you might want to acquire.
