Default Hello from the Chicago Burbs - another newbie checking in

    Hey all,

I am a recent convert to Wet Shaving and I am loving it so far. My first DE was a 1954 Gillette, the last of the 40's style (based on many favorable reviews on this & other boards). I also purchased the Van Der Hagen Luxury set with soap, mug & brush (also because of good reviews on the boards) to complete my initial needs. I have recently decided that I will continue with wet shaving & am ready to expand my horizons & my collections, lol.

I have a Wade & Butcher to try my hand at restoring. I am pretty handy & have seen a few restoration videos. It looks time consuming but not "difficult". I will not trust myself to the edge yet though. I will send it to a honemeister to make it "shave ready".

I look forward to learning & hopefully passing on some of that knowledge.

    Tim (CB69)
