    Default Intro.

    Hey all,
I have been lurking on this site for a couple of weeks. Lots of great info/tips. I decided a few weeks ago that I wanted to try either DE or straight razor shaving. After doing tons of research I think I have decided on the straight razor. I have already bought the soap, brush, pre and post shave. I used it for the first time last night with my mach 5 fusion. I was really impressed with how mush better my skin felt afterwards. Hopefully within the next 2-4 weeks I can order a straight razor and strop and get started with a new obsession.
Worrying is like a rocking chair. It gives you something to do but it doesn't get you anywhere.

Welcome to SRP, glad to see another lurker taking the step into the light
Research is a great way to go, and there are lots of info around here.
A little homework makes the transition smooth, and proper lather is a great way to start.
Do let us know how it goes.

Welcome to SRP. This is the place to learn the in's and out's of wet shaving. The members here are always willing to help a new member in the right direction. You missed it by a few days, but through the generous donations of members here, SRP has monthly give-aways every month that usually includes a "shave ready" razor, soap or cream, and other items, so be sure to sign up for the March give-away that will be starting in, well, March. Keep reading and doing your research and ask questions as they arise.
