Hello sirs (I assume),
I have been lurking around the forum for a while, but did not get to properly introducing myself.
A few months ago I learned about the existence of straight shaving and I have been very intrigued since. Beginning December I was given an Opinel knife. In my searches I learned a bit about sharpening this and other outdoor knives. Interested as I was in that, I wondered whether more communities would be interested in sharp object. This thought led me to search for sharpening razors on youtube and eventually to here. I absolutely loved the video's on forging razors (not something i will be doing). I never guessed there was so much to learn about shaving. The craftmanship to make the razors, the durability and the skill involved in straight shaving have led me to order a new razor and some accompanying gear. Within a week's time i hope to be in business.
Other interests I have are rock climbing and sailing. I still wonder about shaving while travelling. A cartridge shaver seems a bit more practical, especially while sailing. Furthermore I like to enjoy coffee, preferably single estate coffee's brewed to a double espresso.
