    Default Brand Newby - Texas

    Hello Folks,

Finally registered after having been lurking around here off and on for a few weeks. This is a great forum and I'm enjoying learning about the art of straight razor shaving.

I'm an honorably discharged Marine so I will be on the lookout for a Clauss USMC in good shaving condition.

I already own a Deep Cut Diamond Russia Back Certifyd 323 two piece strop which belonged to my Uncle and looks as if it's never been used.

I've picked up a bar of William shave soap and a Van der hagen badger brush (Walgreens for both).

I'm so new I have one shave under my belt and managed to nick myself a few times. (Gotta start somewhere) I read somewhere on here that it takes about 100 shaves to get the hang so to say. If I don't bleed out I guess I will become seasoned. LOL

Looking forward to reading and learning all I can from you Gentlemen.

    Thanks for hearing me out.

Ooo rah devil dog! I've just started myself. Been using a SR for two weeks. I thought my razor was mad at me the way it kept nicking me. I'm doing a lot better though. Seems like there is a lot to learn about this sport....but it's fun! Good luck to you and Simper Fi!

Hello and Thanks Brewdaddy. Semper Fi to you too! It's amazing to me just how much there is to learn about this art.
