Welcome Casper! Thanks for your service. God bless and come home safely. I hope you bought a truly "shave ready" razor and have also included a good strop in your purchase. If your razor isn't shave ready it will useless to you. And if it is shave ready and you don't have a strop to properly maintain it, then it will quickly lose it's edge and its purpose. It might be hard to find a honemeister in that part of the world.

Thanked: 1I've only been shaving a few months but i'm thoroughly enjoying it I found out I needed an alum block and a bit of aftershave the block helps when you cut yourself on the first couple of shaves nothing bad it's like a tiny papercut and your face gets a bit raw without the aftershave the strop is just basic razor maintenance you use it before each shave not after.
I wish you all the best while your on your travels come home safe pal.

Welcome to the forum Josh,
and I will also extend a thank you for your service.
Shave ready and a strop will be key as mentioned above if there is any thing I can help with please ask.
