    Hello all, My name is Don and I'm from southern Minnesota. Still sort of new to the straight razor shaving. Currently using a Dovo shavette, but am looking for a nice used straight razor. Was wondering if there are any senior members from Minnesota who would be willing to mentor or help teach me about how to strop a razor and hone one.

    Hi Don.
    Welcome to SRP!

    There are several Minnesota members here.

    I'm not sure how far south you are, or off the top of my head members south of the metro area. Randydance is located in St. Paul and does a lot of mentoring of new guys. I'm sure he'll be along soon enough to post a hello.

    Great, I'm about 60 miles southwest of St Paul, by Owatonna and it would be good to hear from him and I thought I remember seeing somebody from Minneapolis too, but its been a long time ago. Thanks!

    randydance062449 is the MN guy to see, him and I have had at least 8 get togethers with new people this year at his place in St Paul. We go over all the basics and generally BS for a few hours
