newbie in Indy
Hey all, only been straight shaving for a couple weeks and other than looking like I lost a cat fight the first time, I took to it pretty well. I actually switched because I HATE shaving and would only shave when I started to look homeless or something. Straight shaving has the added challenges to it that keeps me shaving almost every day and actually looking forward to it.

Welcome to SRP!
I know what you mean about the challenge making shaving fun again, or for the first time. I used to couldn't wait for the next morning, so in the evening I'd go strop a couple of razors, kinda to carry me over!!
A good place to start reading up on straight shaving and equipment, maintenance and all things related is the FAQ, linked below. Beginners tips is a good read also and covers many aspects of shaving, honing, and much more.
