How I make Duck Scales:




Break down the razor:
Name: Wonderedge Ebony (1).jpg Views: 7138 Size: 21.8 KB



Make a template of the scales.

I use masking tape to transfer scale design onto wood:

If you have a scanner you can scan them also. Holes show up nicely.


NOTE: Make sure the
scales have not SHRUNK!

Cut out a rough shape:

Sand down to closer shape:

Name: Wonderedge Ebony (8).jpg Views: 252 Size: 39.0 KB

I remove one of the sides tape:
Name: Wonderedge Ebony (10).jpg Views: 269 Size: 21.7 KB



Apply 2 sided tape.

I use the stuff from the plastic you put on your windows to seal them:

Cut excess double sided tape from scales:

    Acetone will easily loosen and remove the bolsters and inlays.
