Default Paper serviettes to clean razor with for hotel guests

Saw these for sale on marktplaats.nl a free Dutch auction site.
Paper serviettes to clean and dry a razor with. Guests are asked not to use the towels.
I guess straights were a nightmare for the linen rooms at the time.

Nice catch. Did you get one for your shave den?

Over the years, I have also encountered a few hotels that provided disposable shoe cleaning cloths as well. They could have also been used to clean a razor I presume. Getting shoe polish off a hotel washcloth would have not be too good either.

    My wife would want several.
She has her towels and I have mine.
It doesn't take long to establish ownership

I don't have a shave den. I mainly collect hones and the odd razor. So: no, I did not bid. It still is available.

And worse, I guess: a hotel owner once told me that some guests use the curtains to polish their shoes.

Microfiber, Costco or Sam’s sell a bundle of decent microfiber towels.

We keep a stack in the bathroom, and I use one just for shaving, then clean the shower glass and mirror when done.

My bride tosses them in the washer with the towels.

Was researching a razor in for homing, Stamped, “ The Palmer”. Apparently, the Palmer hotels, provided honed razors for it guests.

The razors were stamped The Palmer and the city of the hotel. The one I honed was stamped The Palmer, Montreal.

The Palmer House is said to be the longest operating hotel in the USA and at one time had several hotels in the chain.

After my shaves I clean the blade between fingers under the tap and dry it with a sheet of kitchen roll.
