unscented hair product
I wasn't sure where to post this, and this seemed like the most appropriate place. I was hoping someone out there could point me to a hair wax/gel that works well, but without any scent. I prefer to have no scent at all combating with my cologne. I just changed my hair style and it will require something to actually style it, and it seems like everything made now days has a scent. They all smell good, but my cologne smells better... When I wear cologne I make it a point not to have any other scent mingling with it. no laundry detergent, body wash, etc... That stuff isn't cheap, and anything you have on you that might smell actually changes the way it smells. It's just my preference. I was hoping for something with a good hold and not too shiny. Any info at all would be appreciated.

I can't validate it but I do believe the original was around in the '50's. I know for a fact that it was available in the 70's. The original had a 'scent' to it.
I used to use it for Halloween when I'd dress up as Grocho Marx. That stuff dried hard as hell but it did keep the hair in place.
You used to see girls who would put it on their bangs and then comb across their forehead. It would actually hold the hair to their forehead AND keep the hair separated on their forehead.
I hope you can find the newer version locally and Scent Free. Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.

I use American Crew Fiber.
It's more like a pomade, but your hair doesn't look greasy or wet. Good hold and no scent to it.
A dab of it after the shower in the morning, rub my hands together then through my mane.
Comb and doneLook sharp and smell nice for the ladies.~~~Benz

Thanked: 4826You can make your own with bees wax and oil.
By weight, 5 parts oil to one part bees wax is what I use.
It is pretty simple. Melt the wax into the oil and stir it while its cooling. You can add essential oils in your hand for occasions where you would like scent. A couple of drops, mix and go.It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

Lol, odds are very slim that I'll find it locally. I have to go to the next town just to go to Walmart....
I'll see if I can locate it, and give it a try. Thanks for the reply.
That is something I'll definitely try. I make my own beard oil, so I've got oil. It's very doubtful I'll find the wax anywhere around here, but thats what the internet is for.
