My wife, who does leather work, kindly offered to set aside some time and make some razor rolls for me. OK, it took a little arm twisting, but she agreed. LOL She picked up some really nice distressed Buckskin for them and this stuff is so incredibly soft.
Here's a shot of a 7 day roll she made out of the Chocolate Buckskin for me. A couple lucky folks will go home with one on Sunday at the meet!http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...00924-1831.jpg
Looks good, if only if I was in NW USA I could go to the meet and see for myself... Well there is always next year, you must have a great wife to not only put up with your straight razor use/collecting but to encourage it by making storage systems for you. Now you have a great excuse to buy more razors, "honey we don't know if a Livi 10/8 will fit in these size pouches, we need to check"

Very nice! You can tell the leather is super soft by the way it formed around the ends of the razors.
Wonder how that leather would work streached over a paddle strop?
Make it like a tube sock so a 2 sided or 4 sided paddle would just slip into it

I just received my order for two of the razor rolls pictured above. I have been on the lookout for a well crafted and reasonably priced leather razor roll-up for quite awhile, and i have to say that these fit the bill to a "T". Gotta say, though, the leather roll-ups sold by SRD for $50 make it not very worthwhile for me to devote a couple hours to making one! That's a great buy for a really nice roll-up.
