Thread: Another use for stone

The other day I had a happy coincidence of events: my latest duel with a crappy razor/brush stand that led to my having to fix a chipped blade (tail had a habit of getting caught leading to razor and/or brush tumbling down) and my finding an old piece of soapstone that I never got around to carving. So I decided to make myself a new stand:



I might still be able to turn that overhanging bit to the left into a brush holder (I don't know if it is *quite* big enough), but for now I'm just happy never to have to fight with that old stand again!
