Moonshine anyone?
A gift from a coworker whom I helped out recently. Some of her Uncle's shine from North Carolina. What better glass to serve a backwoods spirit in other than a Waldorf Crystal Glass.
For anyone who watches "Scandal" these are the glasses that the president drinks his Scotch out of. An anniversary gift from my better half.
Yes, I shaved before I drank. McPherson Bros provided a 2 pass BBS as always.

Thanked: 4830I no longer partake, but I remember having a stash of my uncles brew from northern Saskatchewan and a little of my own west coast tobacco out on the balcony of my house overlooking the river. It was a great evening. I am glad to have that memory. Thanks for the reminder.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

Nothing quite as nice as "real" Mountain Dew. I've heard it's illegal. LOL

Last time I had Shine was in 1965 at Fort Polk, Louisiana. We got a Saturday and Sunday pass at the end of Army basic training. We stopped a cab driver off base and lo and behold
his trunk was full of quart mason jars at $1.50 a jar. None of us could recall much of the weekend starting about 2 hours post purchase. : )Bob

When I was in San Diego in '71 for boot camp at the Navel Training Center, one of the guys in my company's name was Michel Clements and he was from Hazard KY.
Anyway Mike was talking about his dad making some fine shine and the 'city' guys laughed at him! The said that was only in the movies!
Hell I'd had shine as the boys from TN who came out for pea harvest with Green Giant Co always brought some so I didn't doubt Mike in the least.
Well their remarks p***ed Mike off so Mike wrote home and his dad sent Polaroid pictures of the propane powered still in their basement. I can still hear Mike say; "You call me a liar? My daddy makes some fine shine"!
When the TV show the Dukes of Hazard came out my first thoughts were of Mike!
