While this might fit in with the 'What do you have in the mail' thread, I thought I'd post it here.
I"m wanting to try making some luncheon meats including bologna and my little food processor isn't up to the task of emulsifying the finely ground meat. I found an older Robot Coupe Rc2800 Commercial Professional Food Processor at FleaBay for a reasonable price so I bought it.
It landed last Friday at my buddy Ski's place (saves me about 10% in taxes) and I picked it up yesterday when I went down to shoot pool (I actually held my own/I usually get my ass handed to me) anyway once I got it home I carefully unpacked it and I found that I'd gotten the 'NOID' as it's broken up pretty good!:gaah:
The top is broken;
Attachment 331175
The on/pulse switch is broken off;
Attachment 331176
One of the tabs that holds the lid on the bowl is broken off;
Attachment 331177
If I pick it up and turn it around I can hear plastic and metal parts tumbling around. I let the seller know and sent pics including several of the box which doesn't look like it was abused. I told the seller that it was a total loss and I'd like a full refund. So far no word from the seller
I found a different unit that was more money but it had more attachments and purchased it. I then contacted this seller telling them of the cluster F*** with the first one and I have been reassured that this unit will be very carefully packed as they don't want to see the machine damaged as it's a good running unit.
I do hope that the first seller doesn't give me the run around as some have in the past. It's my understanding that the seller has three business days to resolve any issues. I don't count yesterday but today is day ONE.
