Well, I don't know how that plate of food got in there. Anyway, here is tonight's cocktail. Martini, Tanqueray 10, olives and onions. Sacrilege? We don't care.

Look under "on the plate and in the glass" for a few threads to do with drinking and eating.

Sazerac.
I like the idea of the old fashioned, not so much the martini
enjoy

White Russian. Unfortunately my bartender says a half pint of White Russian is cocktail enough for me. But at least it tasted good.
Beefeater martini...very dry.

Junk Cocktail night! We are calling this The Raspmatazz.
1oz Dark Creme de Cacao
1oz Kahlua
1oz Everclear
2oz Chambord
2oz half&half
Shake vigorously with cracked ice, strain into old fashioned glass, garnish with cherry. Or raspberries if available.
We just kinda used our imagination on this one. It was surprisingly good.

Bunny Giggles.
Not a masculine cocktail, the Bunny Giggles is designed for amorous yachtsmen to use to put "boat bunnies" in a festive mood, free of inhibitions. IOW, to make the bunnies giggly. Doesn't taste like booze, but it has the effect. Two glasses generally does the trick. My boat bunny loves them.
Bunny Giggles recipe.
5oz Everclear
6.75oz Soursop juice (Guanabana, in Spanish and in most of the world outside Belize and English speaking Honduras)
40z cream
4oz frozen orange juice concentrate
1 large banana, peeled
1/4oz grenadine
enough crushed ice to double the total volume
Combine all ingredients in blender, zap it smooth. Pour in hurricane glass or beer pint. Garnish with something colorful and festive.

Just good ol beer tonight. I gave the barmaid a night off.
Is that really a tap on your fridge?
Good going
Yeah. I make my own beer and kegging is a lot less hassle than bottling. Wanna see inside?

The freezer part is where I keep my hops and my mugs and glasses, and a couple of insulated growlers.

Very nice - I am not a big beer drinker myself but I admire the enthusiasm and effort
Enjoy

How do you turn a chick drink into a manly concoction? Well, one way is to substitute Rye for the original active ingredient. Now, gentle readers, witness the birth of the RYE-MOPOLITAN!!!!!!
Gotta love a kegorator.!
Tonite was a ice cold Corona, with dinner.

Gentilly Sling. Like the classic Singapore Sling except reduced pineapple juice, and addition of half and half or cream, then the whole thing is shaken vigorously. We like it a lot better than the Singapore Sling.
Lots and lots of Knob Creek 120

Tequila Sunrise
Tonight, L'Huere Verte! The absinthe ritual. Absinthe is Grune Fee, a rather strong one at 130 proof, very flavorful. Minimal loche due to the high alcohol content. That's okay. Goes down great, nice glow.

A Derby Day without a Mint Julep? NEVAIR!!! One mustn't live like a savage, after all!
Well I guess I’m a savage, but then again I have been all my life. I’ll just stick with bourbon neat, never cared for those fruity sweet drinks.
Good Bourbon and good beer every day.
No frilly sweet drinks here.

Cuervo Gold x3 for me

Whiskey Sour. Sorry, no pic. I was busy honing! Didn't cook, either. Thank you, Papa Johns!

Well, it's the morning now, but I can tell you what I had last night:
Auchentoshan Three Wood
The only Scotch, so far, that I like drinking without a couple of drops of water.
Worm is in lockdown I guess. Anyway the worm, actually called a gusano, (it's a moth larva, actually) is found more often in brands of mezcal than tequila. In fact, I can't think of any brand of tequila that has a worm in it. Mezcal sometimes does. The Monte Alban brand does for sure. And you only get one per bottle, not one per shot.
Anyway, last night's cocktail, my favorite or at least second favorite, the Sazerac. This is probably the best way to drink rye.
