Beer of the Day !

Sorry, I can not post a pic, and do not have any fancy names. I just drink my home-brewed (chamomile-elder-flower-honey) beer...after my rye IPA. I like to make things to be able to enjoy life. Hone my own razor, take a shower with my homemade lavender soap, shave my grumpy face, make a salad from the greenhouse, cut a slice of my cured ham, drink a shot of homemade vodka, eat my leaven made bread with a slice of homemade cheese, then drink 2-3 beers, and smile to the world... All of that makes me satisfied and proud without any free time.:rofl2:

Its too cold here in Indy for a beer. I'm about to enjoy a wee bit of Highland Park 18 yo Single malt.

Nice. Last night I went for the Laphroig 1/4 Cask. I considered buying the Highland Park because I love that particular scotch, but wanted to try something new...

I like the looks of that Hoegaarden. I've never seen that before. I am enjoying the bitterness of this:

Well...I tasted three other brews today...here is the first, I post my comments and review as posted in the Beer Advocate.com site

I have heard a lot of good things about this stout and I made a special effort to get a bottle; first impressions are very important, as I poured this stout into my 12 oz. mug I knew that I had a winner in my hands. I immediately tested the nose, it registered a strong bitter brew, scent of chocolate, roasted barley and chocolate malt came to the forefront and it was confirmed by the palate. Head retention is minimal with light lacing in the mug…I like this stout a lot, it goes down warm and is thick to the palate; next time I have it I will drink it in a sniffer glass and sip it slow just like brandy. I highly recommend it….and remember folks support your local brewery DRINK BEER. HOG.

I'm spoiled, I have a tapper that always has cold, good beer in it. I've had the thing for about 15 years, and I now only buy 1/4 barrels so I can change it up more. Right now I have Karl Straus Tower 10 IPA, quite tasty! I can't say I have a fav, I've met very few beers that I haven't liked. I have actually dumped out a case of Vons Plain Wrap Beer, and that was when my brother and I were broke college students...that's how bad it was!

Now I'm thirsty, oh well it's noon somewhere, time for a frosty one!

Lone Star, wow what memories! I'm origanly from San Antonio, and the only thing you drink at Grandma's house was Lone Star, Big Red, or sweet tea! Love it bro!

I do not think I have met a brew from Brooklyn Brewing I did not like.

I had this at a local retuarant. This is my first Trappist beer. It is brewed by monks in Belgium. I found it to taste fruity with a nice mild bitterness. Very nice on the tongue.
