Update on German beers. I was looking for a dunkels like what I used to get in northern Baden-Wurttemburg back in my misspent youth, so that says the Franconian variety as opposed to the stuff from farther south in Bavarian, which is still darn good. I read somewhere that Ayinger was the stuff, so I tried it and it took me back to moderately hazy nights at the Schwimbadhalle or one of the small discos in Heidlelberg circa 1986 watching the hot little rich neo-commie college girls shake their groove things.on the dance floor :D
