as i sit here, currently consuming a pot of plain old lipton. never really know why i didnt make this before, maybe i felt it was something only for iced tea. in the end who knows, just glad that i had the where with all to try it again, will definately keep this in the cupboard.
Sometimes...it's the simple things that make all the difference.:)

Tonight we have tarry souchong from Mariage Frères. Don't know much else about it; although originally from Fujian Province, China, this particular tea could probably be from anywhere (within reason).
For those of you who aren't familiar with it, the tea leaves are smoke-dried over pine wood fires, giving it a very intense, smoky flavour and it's a very nice tea. Here is my photo:

If only such a thing as smell files existed...
Stronger flavour and smokier, I think. It's smoked over pine tar, rather than just the wood.
Pretty soon I'm gonna be seein Loon in the pipe of the day smoking Lap through a pipe. :)
not true steph, lately ive been drinking a lot, and i do mean a lot of middle eastern and russian royal tea, although this morning i did mix a tablespoon of lap with my swan, gives the ceylon tea a smokey hint.
