Earthy? Barnyardesque? Notes of alfalfa hay?? Yup, love that stuff! Of all the descriptions of it, I think second place would go to fish water, with a solid number one going to Bela for his entry of "train sleeper car". The first time I tried it, I liked it, but, soon after, I loved it. I get a kick out of those who despise it, it just proves that one taste does not please all.

Tonight I re-tried a tea I picked up some time ago. The first go round didn't impress me in the slightest. Tonight I tried it, but while it was steeping, I was distracted and it went longer than I wanted it to. So, I ended up with a stronger, fuller tea. It has a really different aroma and taste for a black tea, which I assumed had something to do with it's fermentation. Reading on it they implied that it was more due to the season in which it's picked. Whatever the reason, it has a taste I can get used to, maybe, with a touch of milk, I may really like it. I'll keep playing around with amount used and steep times. I bought this tea mainly because the name struck me funny. I'm too lazy to dig out the camera for a pic, so I'm going to use some stock footage, but it's from Dragon Tea where I bought it. I hope everyone's weekend is going well!

Yes Don, I really enjoy my gaiwan. Now I can handle it much better, and if I pay attention no tea leaves end to the cup, especially with big-leaf teas like the one I show above.

But what I enjoy the most is my new tea table. It is very practical because it allows me to be as messy as I like when preparing and brewing tea, and in the same time keeps things in order on my desk.

I agree with you that bigger tables are better. You may have more instruments on the table, for example the pot, the cup, the kettle, the strainer, or ever the beautiful Princess that brings luck to Bela every time he brews his tea with her. I chose a small-to-medium size table (35cmX23cm) because I wanted to keep it on my working desk. Maybe in the future I will buy myself a much bigger one.
