Yes, I have seen and experienced that. The quality tea has gone away and the price has gone up.
What I had done for years is make a pot of tea and thermos it to take to work. The next successive days use the same leaves for the length of the period the leaves can be brewed. What I have tried recently with interesting results is cut the amount of leaves to a third, quarter or whatever amount of successive brews I can get as well as the water by the same amount and brew it in my small tea pot instead of the large one then pour each brew into the thermos.

The effect has been somewhat like blended tea as opposed to single estate tea. It has a more uniform character which is a mix of the characters of the successive brews rather than drinking them each individually.
