Chicken Soup. MMMMMmmmm.... Homemade, of course.
My recently deceased friend and member here Joel Baumgarten 'Benz' had helped me expand my abilities at canning food.
So to honor him, supper was some home canned bean and bacon soup that was diluted with some milk and then turned into Cream of Bean and Bacon Soup (I do the same with the store bought soup). Also some toasted slices of homemade bread with Joel's favorite jam--Blueberry also home made.

Thanks for everything Joel, but most of all the friendship. :bow
Yeah, sorta. Not from the roast chicken roll directly, but from the bones, trimmings and drippings and such. Since I deboned two chickens, I had two carcasses to work with and so there was lots of little meaty bits to pull off the bones. A couple of jalapenos, an onion, worcesterhire, slap ya mama, some frozen mixed veg, and a handful of egg noodles, and the leftover gravy from yesterdays chicken and waffles, and there it is. There is still some of the roll left, too. We gonna chop it up for fried rice tomorrow, maybe. Or a caesar salad or a stir fry or something. We don't throw very much food out, no. Oh I forgot, I did some dinner rolls, too.

Fried kielbasa and grilled onions on homemade bread, with the loaf sliced longways instead of crossways. Not sure why I did that but it was great. Dressed with a little remoulade sauce, and shortly after snapping the pic, Mrs Slash berates me for fixing hers without her beloved pickle planks, so we added them. Bread was grilled in butter, of course. Very good sammitch, I have to say.
More stir fry fun. Shrimp/veg teriyaki over jasmine rice cooked with a little Goya chicken and tomato bouillon
