Default Something that smells like lectric shave

I recently switched to str8 razor shaving from electric a couple weeks ago, and I still can't believe the results.

The one thing I liked about shaving with an electric razor was using lectric shave, the stuff smells amazing and the wife loves it as well. Is there an aftershave that smells similar to that or can lectric shave be used as an after shave?

not really sure dude.. but i'm prolly willing to bet that you can use lectric shave as an aftersplash or whathaveyou... it's prolly made up of the same things as other aftershave "splash" lotions..

I say if you like the smell, keep using it!

Unless you experience some adverse results, you'll likely enjoy it more than anything else you come across if you like the smell so much.

BTW-Congrats on making the jump to a Straight!

I wouldn't use it with a blade. The pre Electric contains oils to lube the cutter on your face and alcohol to dry your skin. I don't think that combination compliments a straight.

This is exactly what I was worried about and wanted to research before putting it on and regretting it later. I tried checking on what kind of fragrance notes were in it but google didn't really come up with a whole lot.

I did try it once to get my whiskers to stand up better for shaving. I did not notice a difference in the shave, but I have pretty tough skin to begin with. YMMV.

I never tried it again, as I don't care for the smell and I didn't see an advantage to the shave I got with it.

Use it like a cologne. Splash a bit on your shoulders, or back of
your neck not your freshly shaven face. But use it in moderation
    it makes me sneeze.

I ended up trying some out as an aftershave. Had a nice burn to it and my face felt great except for the oily residue left behind to help smooth the path of the electric razor. I love the smell though and hope to find/make something similar.
