Today, I tried a new facial product from France. Eau Florale de Rose natural lotion made by Melvitacosm. It is essence of rose petals with an astringent but no alcohol. (I think it is basically rose water and witch hazel.) As an aftershave lotion, it gave a fantastic finish to a true BBS shave with my 5/8 Dovo "en vogue 105" straight razor.

I actually bought several bottles of different floral natural lotions for my wife but she returned this one to me to use with my TOBS rose shaving cream. I am really glad she did. It is a fantastic aftershave product. It may be one of the best aftershave lotions I have experienced. My face felt firm, smooth, and cool. I am used to alcohol based after shaves but this product is better by far.
