Thread: Homemade pre shave save tons of cash

Don't know if I have ever seen this topic on this forum. So I made a homemade preshave oil today. All these elements in this preshave oil including the bottles cost me around 30.00 I made About nine ounces of this stuff today.. Here is how I did it .. I used a nine ounce cup .. I filled half with castor,oil and half with olive oil.. Then added about 4-8 drops of the lemon essential oil.. Castor oil is available at any health food shop I found mine at the local chain store the vitamin shoppe.. The essential oil also was purchased there.. The olive oil was purchased at my local supermarket.. The plastic containers are all over the place.. I found mine at the local pharmacy in the travel size section.. You can add more or less of the essential oil depending on how strong or weak you want your scent .. I'm still experimenting with that aspect.. Any questions let me know .. I believe this is the same recipe used in the aos pre shave oils.. There are all,kinds of recipes out there just do a google search you will find 1000's.. So I believe the average costs of a 8-12 oz preshave oil is about 8-12 bucks..so 24 ounces will cost you about the same as making 8-10 containers of 9 oz containers yourself.. A huge savings.. What's lovely is you can change the scents and recipes to anything you like.. Good luck
