T&H colognes -- all of them!
Graham at T&H was good enough to send me samples of their entire cologne range. So having spent three weeks working my way through each tiny bottle, I can honestly say I now smell like "a French whore's drawers" as my old man is want to say.
The table below gives you two subjective perspectives on each fragrance: mine and the all important Wife Test. :p
Spanish Leather: Manly, yes siree! Images of moors battling inside the Alhambra. Woody, leathery, musky. Says “I eat meat and ride a Harley
Wife test: “Hmmm… pretty good. Not my favourite though.”
Trafalgar: Woody, but softer than Spanish Leather. Cedar, sandalwood… traditional.
Wife test: “Oooh, you smell good! Come here, let me smell some more…”
1805: Clean and crisp. Oceanic fragrance. Smells pretty good as a shaving cream/lather too.
Wife test: “Nice but quite subtle.”
Grafton: Yep, this is another “manly” one. But it reminds me of the cheaper fragrances from the 70s too much. You know, Brut, Old Spice etc.
Wife test: “Nope. Does nothing for me.”
Clubman: Quite a floral scent, and oceanic. Apparently there’s mint in it, but damned if I can smell it.
Wife test: This made Katie gag, but I suspect it was more to do with the fact that she was trying to eat dinner at the time. She never recovered from that to enjoy the scent.
Freshman: Meh, too much going on. And lots of citrus smells – I don’t like citrus.
Wife test: “Mm hmm, that reminds me of you at college.” D’you reckon that’s why they called it Freshman?
West Indian Limes: If you want to walk around feeling like you have a piece of Key Lime pie hanging under your chin, this is the one for you. For the Brits on this forum, you KNOW you’ve been Tango’d!
Wife test: “Wow, I really like that one. Oooh, it’s just right for summer time. Yep, that’s my favourite.” – Bloody typical!
