Thread: Snail slime!

My wife loves Dr Organic products and with a recent purchase she received a sample of snail gel.
Yup that's right, snail gel, apparently all the rage now, and its usage has been documented for many a year, the ancient Greeks were fans apparently.

To give it it's full name: helix aspersa muller - snail secretion thats used for its anti ageing properties, the idea
is that helix aspersa muller produced by snails to regenerate their shells will also regenerate our skin shells.
A good idea to slap on my fizzog after a shave methinks.

Here's the bumf.

So is it any good?

I always like to use organic essential oils after a shave such as Argan, Roship, Avocado etc and like them snail gel has a host of skin conditioning properties so a comparison is similar. It is absorbed quickly and when it dries it has a tighten feeling, No sting, or burn so could be used for sensitive skin too.

Is it worth shelling out for? (Ha!)

For a full size tub its £20/25$/22€ for 50ml so it's a bit steep. You can buy many certified virgin organic essential oils for a reasonable price with lots of scientific evidence to back them up too. Like a snail I'm not going to be rushing anywhere to get some more. (I'll stop it now)
