Aftershave with lasting scent

Mostly thanks to this fourm, I'm beginning to really get the hang of straight razor shaving.
One of the things I enjoy about wet shaving is the smell. Lather and aftershave both smell great, but it seems that aftershave quickly loses its scent.
Is there some certain aftershave I should get if I am looking to get something that retains its scent throughout the day, or do all aftershaves fade to nothing almost momentarily?

Get a cologne that matches your after shave for something that lasts longer. Applying more after shave is not the answer and will only make people avoid you until it wears down :<0) I skip the scented after shave and use witch hazel in preference of cologne for lasting scent.

For me Tabac , Old Spice, Royal Vetiver and Royal Musk are very long lasting.
Musgo Real is average along with English Leather.
Proraso and Floyd blue are the shortest lasting for me.

I think like with fragrances, the sweeter ones last longer. The fresher ones last shorter.

Here's a couple of aftershave/cologne that I have used that seem to last - Alt Innsbruck, Pinaud Bay Rum, And I just picked up some Phoenix Artisan ACcoutrements "N" Enye that last all day and smells great
Tabac shave soap on it's own last all day LOL no stinky aftershave needed

I confess I have not tried many different aftershaves, but aftershaves in general are not meant to be long lasting. +1 to 10Pups response. An Eau de Parfum or Eau de Toilette might do it for you.

Thanks for all the answers.
I've googled the Pinaud Clubman and it seems to be one to try, but it sadly doesn't look like I can get it here in Denmark.
I will have to be on the lookout for ones you have mentioned. I don't see myself getting cologne or perfume or anything like that.

Hello Peterlh,
In Europe try some of the Alpa offerings. Alpa fougere is very masculine, crisp, and last a fair bit. I have also read good things of Alpa Windsor.
Some varieties of bayrum tend to be long lasting. Consider making your own: Homebrew Bayrum Recipes, Bay Rum Parade "AtC".
