Bay Rum comes in all sort of different qualities and price ranges reflecting these differences. Usually, the more expensive examples are more complex, and some times, have longer lasting power. In the Caribbean where Bay Rum is indigenous, it is not commonly used as an after shave or a cologne. People use it for headaches and other "medicinal" purposes. Besides the Bay Rum I make, which is pretty good, perhaps Royall is the best one I have used. I have a bunch of them. Dominica is also pretty popular but it fades really fast. Another great example is St. Johns but it is fairly expensive. I have said several times that I am yet to find a Bay Rum that I do not like.
