Default Lucky Tiger disappearing cream vs. Noxema

I was introduced to Lucky Tiger menthol disappearing cream by an SR enthusiast friend. It's not available off the shelf locally, so I decided to try Noxema (or rather the store brand facsimile).

I later read product reviews of the Lucky Tiger on Amazon that call it "glorified Noxema," which leads me to wonder if LT is really worth the premium price.

    Any thoughts?

I'm not an enthusiast of the Lucky Tiger products. IMHO, they're expensive and over hyped. The menthol in their Disappearing Cream is overpowering to the point that it burns my face. If you're looking for an effective, inexpensive aftershave, my choice has always been Thayers Original Alcohol Free Witch Hazel w/Aloe. I don't want to sound like I'm shilling the company, but sometimes simple is better. I have very sensitive skin and this product simply works in all four seasons. I order from a .com called Vitacost and they're very reasonable.

I've been curious about the Tiger products but haven't tried any as of yet because I have too much stuff already. I haven't found anything better for AS products than plain old witch hazel followed by Nivea Sensitive Balm. I get both products for about $7.00

Any of the barber shop brands of old were so used because they could be bought in bulk and were dirt cheap. Quality wasn't a consideration.

I tried the Tiger Cream but I couldn't see my face afterwards.
