[QUOTE=ZipZop;1743605]Today, Proraso Vetyver (with a hint of Cypress)
This is the first time I've come across this, I'll definitely have to try it.
It looks like Proraso has three new scents with aftershave balms and colognes. There are shaving creams for two of the scents.
[QUOTE=Firefighter2;1743697]I really like it. But then I really like Vetiver fragrance. I have a bottle of Guerlain Vetiver in my fragrance cabinet. The issue is, Guerlain (of Paris) is serious and long-lasting on the body, even in small amounts. The Proraso is more subtle, and the Cypress gives it a nice finish. My opinion of course.
Enjoy and Mahalo!

Guerlain Vetiver (and a hat-tip to ZipZop)
I was going to wear Imperiale by Guerlain today. But I saw JBHoren's post and I just had to jump on the Guerlain Vetiver scentwagon.
Cremo shaving cream and unscented aftershave today (my own concoction) - Witch Hazel with Tea Tree Oil, White Bark Extract and Aloe Vera. So, in keeping with the recent theme;
Guerlain Vetiver. Such a classic scent.

OK, today, it's Guerlain Imperiale.
If it was good enough for Nepolean, well, then it's good enough for me! I just won't wear it around Waterloo... Iowa. :)

Tomorrow and Friday, I'm scaling back after two days of high-end Guerlain. Something more subtle and "classic" for aftershave.

After a few days with long-lasting Guerlain fragrances, I went with subtle Murry and Lanman Florida Water this morning.
Cremo lather, DE Merkur shave with Voskhod blade, Proraso post shave balm (green), and Florida Water. Simple, elegant, and very subtle. I doubt anyone would pick up a scent on you after a few hours of applying it.

Tomorrow is Clubman Friday. Just need to pick a Clubman fragrance. That narrows down the field considerably.
At the request of the good lady. Tabac today. She rather likes it.

Today is Clubman Friday, so it was Pinaud Lime Sec for me today.
Dovo Straight, Stirling Grapefruit and Menthol Artisan Soap, Lime Sec and Cremo Moisturizer. Yes, and a splash of Witchhazel with aloe in-between. Why not? ;)

Followed by some Limeade with a slice of Lime. Between the Grapefruit and Lime, I guess I won't have to worry about Scurvy today! :)

PS - I also just got some Stirling Grapefruit and Menthol AFTERSHAVE, so I'll sport that sometime over the weekend.
Aloha JB!
Nice fragrance indeed. I really like Klein's "Obsession for Men"
That reminds me, I got a gift box of Acqua Di Gio by Armani from a friend that I really need to start wearing. The gift box includes Cologne and After Shave Balm. Honestly, I have to say I like Acqua Di Gio in the Summer. Used Sparingly. But the Aftershave Balm has really surprised me. It's very refreshing and feels great on the skin.
Mahalo for the reminder!

EARLY this morning (VERY early) it was Stirling Soap Company Grapefruit and Menthol aftershave.
You may not think that Grapefruit and Menthol would be good together but it works. The Menthol wears off after a while and you are left with the Grapefruit citrus scent. I must say, I like it. Very fresh scent. I shaved with their Grapefruit and Menthol soap as well. Not much to say about Stirling other than I am a big fan of their products.

This morning was a big disappointment.
I ordered a bottle of C.O. Bigelow "Vetiver and Citrus" cologne. I normally have good luck with C.O. Bigelow products. I was excited to try this as I like Vetiver and I like Citrus.
I do not know if it is that Bigelow's Vetiver is bad, or if I happened to get a bad bottle (old and stale) or if the heat of summer damaged the scent oils in transit, but it is not for me. The best way to describe the scent is "OFF-PUTTING". Hardly any citrus tones and as I say, just a terrible scent. I shaved at 7 AM with application of the cologne around 7:30. Two hours later has me thinking about showering again to get rid of the scent. It's that bad. And it's too bad. I really thought I'd like this. Oh well, back to the drawing board. I only paid $10 plus shipping, so not out a bunch. This may be the very first bottle of cologne that I give away or put in the trash. Perhaps I can stop into a Bath and Body Works and see if they have a bottle to try. This way I can see if perhaps I got a bad bottle. Or it just could be it is not for me, period.

I have to start using my gift box of Acqua di Gio. So that was the fragrance of the day.
Solingen straight razor shave, Cremo shave cream, Witch Hazel and Aloe with Tea Tree Oil base coat aftershave, then a splash of Wintergreen Alcohol (30 percent). I make this myself. 70 percent Wintergreen Alcohol cut with distilled water to tone it down to 30 percent alcohol. I'm actually thinking of combining Witch Hazel, Tea Tree Oil, Aloe Vera Oil and a cut of 30 percent wintergreen alcohol in one dispensor. I'll try that and see if it works.
Finally the Acqua di Gio After Shave Balm and the cologne.
And I am enjoying the aftershave balm that came with the gift set. Even used the deodorant. Actually a nice fragrance for the summer.
Call me Acqua di Gio Man today. Top to bottom. :)

Today it was a DE Straight shave with Proraso Green Pre and Cream (I do love Proraso Green).
Stirling Soap Company Menthol and Grapefruit Aftershave for the fragrance. Cremo Face Moisturizer as the final buffer. :)
And I got a complement for the scent. Can't beat that.

I wish they had this in Cologne.

Too funny, JB. I had the Florida Water in my hand, and at the last minute changed to Hanae Mori. Otherwise, we wold have matched again. Right down to the Proraso Green lather.
Tomorrow, it's either Murray and Lanman Florida Water OR their Orange Blossom. I'll flip a coin.

Earlier in the week I ordered a re-supply of Lucky Tiger. Forgot all about it until it was delivered last night.
Shavette shave with Voskhod blade. My own brew of Witch Hazel aftershave and then Cremo Face Lotion.
Then, some Lucky Tiger followed by M/L Orange Blossom Cologne to pump up the volume a tad on the Tiger.
