    Default Aftershave balms

I'm guessing I'm not the only one here with sensitive skin, so my aftershave preferances go more toward blams than splashes. I have used and liked Trumper's Skin Food and AoS's balm.

What balms would you suggest I try? Or to put it differently which ones do you use and would recommend?

    Cheers,
    Milan

Definitely use a balm as opposed to Skin Food, which is less protective/moisturising in the winter months.

I suggest Roger & Gallet L'Homme After Shave Balm, L'Oreal Men Expert 24hr Hydrating Balm and also Castle Forbes. The balms from the CF range smell great!

I tend to use nivea balms mainly because I can buy it from local shops, however I really like them. I've tried both the replenishing and sensitive balms and love them both. The sensitive has a very mild scent that's barely noticeable and the scent of the replenishing doesn't last long. I don't know how the replenishing would be with sensitive skin but there is the initial sting from the alcohol it contains. The sensitive however being alcohol free just feels more like a moisturiser when being used. At only £5 (roughly $8 I think) it's little to lose if you don't like it but in my opinion it's a bargain!

The Nivea balms gave me a lot of "itchiness" on the face so I'm not sure if their suited to my skin. I opted against them.

Edwin Jagger sandlewood balm. I love the stuff.

I have sensitive skin too, no problems for me with the Edwin Jagger products.

Nivea does make a balm specifically for sensitive skin. Was that the one you tried?

That really is too bad since it is one that is easily and readily available.

The best balm IMO, by a mile, is Acqua di Parma. Since my first use, I knew I'd never use anything else.
