Looks nice for sure. The one thing I'd be concerned about is those pointy bits. They're long and slender. And kirinite is pretty flexible. I'd probably not do the cut-out, or I would design it so that the pointy bits are supported somehow.

It's nothing more than the fact that we normally place our razors on the bottom of the scales when in the closed position - we are used to seeing them that way and that's how we show the scale shape. Any design that doesn't conform to the norm will fall over therefore the razor will be resting on it's side.
Whether that is important is a purely personal opinion - my preference is for the conventional.
When it comes to scales there's only 1 rule really. When close, the edge must be protected (both for your own safety and the edge). Everything else is preference.
Amazing work.

Looks like i am in the club:Attachment 177340.
This is a custom bruno made for me, loosely based on a lancet grind, i put an 11/16" mappin and webb in for size comparison, the scales are made by val at the gentlemans den in toronto, and were courtesy of phrank, so once again phanks phrank :)
Ed! Wow...That's really nice looking, great design! Now when you shave with it do you just let gravity do the work - because that is a beast of a blade! By the way that is not a lancet, that's a MEGA Lance the ruler of all lancets....all the lancets orbit it
Enjoy!
Bruno as always great work!
