Woke up this morning thinking about fasteners. The blade is very comfortable to strop sans scales as it is so substantial. I'd planned on using removable fasteners anyway, now I'm thinking simply remove the scales for stropping. With the type I typically use, this operation adds ~60 seconds to the entire shaving ritual. I can live with that. I'm also thinking about other ways to fasten with a nod to quick take down.
I can't wait till Bruno starts on mine ,, might be Han adventure to remember. Tc
So after about 9 hours of hand sanding, here's what I have. Progressed through 120, 220, 320, 600, 1200, 2000 grit sand paper wet and dry and #0000 steel wool. Then mothers polish.

Pictures (especially those taken by me) really don't do it justice. It is an absolute mirror finish. I'll try to work on my photography skills. Tomorrow I start scales.
My first razor build.
Very nice! Did you work that curve into the tip? I definitely like that. Also like the jimps Bruno has put on that one.
Great finish overall
I asked bruno to do the jimps and drew out the tip he ground.
