New shaver, new razor!

^^Wow I have seen many Aust pics posted here and none of which really appealed to me very much but that one is a dandy. I think I may have to consider making a rare new(non vintage) razor purchase and grabbing that razor, it is beautiful.

This is the one that started it all. It was my Great Grandfathers. I nicked it from my father when I was fourteen or so.
That's cool Shaun! What a nice thing to inherit, a Heckles. I was adopted so I don't have anything to inherit. My adoptive father didn't have any straights as far as I know but I remember seeing straight razor's out on the farm when I was growing up but I don't know what happened to them. It's too bad.
Well it was my Great Grandfathers but I didn't exactly inherit it. My father had it amongst his tools and junk, it was not cared for, so I liberated it. It is more of a stolen heirloom than an inherited one. I have hd it for a very long time. It comes out when I am feeling nostalgic or celebrating something. It is a fantastic shaver (could be partly in my head). I was sort of a community kid growing up. I kind of wondered and found my way with a little guidance from non family. It is kind of the way it goes in small coastal towns. I have had my share of non family kids that have spent substantial time here, one of them learned to shave and has his razors that I have passed on to him. It all evens out in the end.
I dont have my first razor anymore it was a Dovo 5/8 nice but I would of still sold it as I like a thicker grind more.:D
Leon Pelleray frameback, the whole lot was a flea market find...

The large one on the right with the metal scales is actually a microtome.
