Good to see a familiar face here - it's a 1956. It's a time capsule, it's the year that Nikita Kruschev declares, "We will bury you!" to a gathering of western ambassadors at a Polish Embassy reception. Interestingly, it was also the year he denounced the legacy of Stalin. The cold war was in full swing and amidst all that noise a certain future user of razors being made in the Moscow STIZ factory was born in Buffalo. :D

The red one is the first straight I managed to go from bevel setting to shave ready in 1 day (Im slowly getting better at honing). Very pleased with them both, though the black one does seem to need the pasted strop more often than other razors I have. Maybe its me maybe its the razor, Im still too new at this to be sure.
