ЯUSSIAN ЯAZOЯS
A friend of mine gave me a Russian razor the other day. He had bought her long before we even knew one another and when he heard I am a straight razor shaver he gave her to me. He had originally bought her because of her beautiful engraving of a bridge and some buildings, Moscow or Leningrad? The engraving is not easy to photograph because of some pitting that I dare not remove entirely because I don't want to remove the engraving. She came with broken scales that were re-attached by her previous owner. Her box is great.
I honed her up and she is a great shaver.

Thanked: 1184I keep my eye out for a good Russian blade. When I find 1 it is either too expensive BIN or I get outbid. You got a nice 1 a the best price :<0)
There was another thread on Russians not long ago you might want to search up.Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Thanked: 3226I'll add another Ruskie Razor to the mix.
Got this given to me yesterday and finished honing it this morning. Just lathered up with Arko and did a 3 pass shave, 2 XTG passes and 1 ATG pass with a touch up on the chin and just below that. Man, if it shaved any closer I'd be peeling a layer of skin off. It shaves right there with the best of any country's razors I have tried. It was an eye opener for sure.

Thanked: 3226No it is not mint but in fairly good condition. I had just given it a quick clean and polish for the photo. It did have 3 chips and rust on/near the bevel. I was able between the DMT 325 and the Naniwa progression to eliminate the chips and get into good steel for the bevel. No idea if all the Ruskie razors shave as well as this one did but I'd take a chance on another one.
