    Default The Gentleman's Set

From pairs to seven day sets, heck maybe there were baker's dozens. Let's see those glorious shaving sets once owned by discerning gentlemen from decades past.

Mine is a four day Mappin & Webb, Celebrated Sheffield Hollow Ground, with ebony scales. The blades are marked "Special Steel." I am not sure what that means, but from what I have read, it was supposed to be a harder type of steel the manufacturer used. The set comes in a slim wooden case with brass bolsters and hardware. The dividers are leather. The green satin and felt liners are worn, and maybe someday I will re-line the box. Or not.

    I'm jealous! Beautiful set.

Let's try kick starting this club! I'd love to see more razor porn here.

I put this set of Bokers is in another club a while ago and feel it would make a nice addition here also. Scales are Ivory, no cracks, no chips and no breakage.

Default Charles Pickslays seven day razor set.

This is a seven day set with the inscription on the shank reading:
    Charles Pickslays
    Peruvian Steel
    Sheffield
The scales on the handle are made of ivory. The blade holder in
the handle is steel covered in German silver. All of the blades are
    in excellent condition.
Each one of the blades, which are engraved with the days of the week,
snap into the handle and are released by pushing on the small button.
This set dates back to the 1830’s.
This set is exactly as I received it. I have done nothing to it.
