Yep, silver solder is strong & they use it to sweat copper lines together so it won't spring a leak. I remember using it in my dads electric shop also when regular solder wouldn't work.

Wow Andrew. Next meet I hope you let me shave with her. With a smile like that it's going to be a amazing shaver. Grats
congrats Phrank. What a beautiful razor. I am searching for one for at least 10 years (so do 99% of the members here, i guess). Enjoy. Thank you for the pictures.
Wow phrank, its gorgeous.
I can feel the shave from here.
So silent... So smooooth.
Congrats my good man.. [emoji482]
Glad you are taking the time to dive some of the wrecks while there Andrew.
Both exciting and historically valuable to do.
Cheers, be safe, and check your gauges..
Thanks - it's a 6/8 wedge, aside from that break, the blade and stamps are in perfect condition, and as pointed out in a thread about these, The Royal Windsor Hotel was around in the 1910-20's timeframe, yet the razor does not have the England stamp on the tang, only Sheffield, so when I return with a good 8 day beard on Sunday....will be my SOTD for sure.
Walked out and saw this outside the cottage today....Rattlesnake anyone?
