Picked these up last week. The bottom razor is stamped: Manufactured by Wade and Butcher for Wolfe and & Hoppe St. Louis. It may be Hoffe. The top one is over an inch wide. Anybody know what size these razors were when new? At first I thought, "Wow, I could make a grip on eboy." But then I came to me senses, and promptly hid them from the spouse. :)
Nice choppers Sandcounty!!
OK so I guess I should document this odd one here too cause the other post will get lost eventually. Haven't shaved with it yet but what a beauty.
Thats got to be one of my favorite W&B's Chris.....I can't believe how good she looks! :tu
very nice Chris!!!!
Wish I knew where my camera was. I just picked up a 5/8 spike W&B Invincible today.
OK, I have W&B that is currently undergoing restoration (scales have varnish drying as we speak..)
Here is my contribution to the club, unless someone else has previously posted it:

Thanks Seraphim and we look forward to seeing your restoration!
What?? Why is the Butcher Shop in Restoration? Shouldn't this be moved to "razor clubs"?
Thanks for the help guys - Doc PM'd me about it last night but I really needed sleep and put it off until today. Glad to see you got it taken care of!
Finished her up last night:http://straightrazorpalace.com/attac...1&d=1204913112

Here's my JR and W&B For Barber's Use with new scales from Traveller.
Travellor does such awesome work!! :bow
Another for the files. this is my favorite wade & Butcher the royal cypher (?) is "WR" which i'm guessing is William IV 1830-1837 era, look about right?
:eek::eek::eek::eek:
Jim, that is SWEET! I love that blade.....PM me with a price....;)
sys,
Man alive! How can something that old look so good? A hundred and seventy and no wrinkles, bald, but no wrinkles.
That's a nice razor.:tu
Wow...somehow I missed out on the Razor Clubs. I definitely could join in on the Wade & Butcher fandom. Here is probably my favorite (can't read the "Diamond Edge" etch too well anymore, but it's a great shaver!):
Very nice Blair! Love those original scales!!
Can I join the club. I just received this "Traveler" restore W&B today. I can't shave with it until tomorrow. I already shaved today.

Here is my Wade and Butcher fresh back from Texas. Just took it out of the mail box. I did use Garys pic I couldn't get a good one.http://straightrazorpalace.com/attac...1&d=1206384635
Gary's been getting around lately, hasn't he? Welcome to the Butcher Shop to you both!
I stuck a 5/8 wapi on the side for a sense of scale.

Kind regards,
Very nice Gerard! Always room for more!
Gerard, Try not to touch your razor to the Alum block,or store thrm in the same drawer.the alom will cause the blade to corrode.Best Regards gary
Thanks for the heads up.
Kind regards,
care to have another member? Just purchased this from ebay, will post better pics when it arrives. It will be a project razor, needs new scales for sure. Not bad for 30.00 and free shipping. :D
