Just bought a W&B full hollow from Whipped Dog. It's a bulldog, but it's sharp enough to cut the mustard. It's got quite a smile due to the original owner over-honing the toe, but that can actually come in handy at times.
One of these days, I'll get around to polishing it and having it rescaled with teakwood or real bamboo, but for now, I like it just as it is. My wife thinks it's ugly, but what do they know, right? RIGHT?!
p.s. sorry about the crappy pictures. Had to use the cell phone camera to take these as I can't find the real camera's memory card.
As much as I love a W&B, I wouldn't suggest putting more money into yours, sonof1337. One day you'll find one of those in nicer shape and wish you had the money to buy it or have it restored; I'd say save for that.
13/16" blade is regrind, finished and honed by Master Flaschner. I gave scales, made out of white ebony.

So question.....I'm not well learned on W&B's but I was wondering...on the notched blades, some I've noticed have rounder tips than others? Is this because they have been ground rounded or were they made that way to begin with?I am a round tip man myself. Are the notched as forgiving as a round or are they something to be mastered like the spikes?
The vast majority (if not all) barber notched razors that I have seen are a bit rounded at the toe. Some are more rounded than others, though.
But did the rounded edges come that way or were they ground to be that way?also are the notched edges more forgiving than spikes or do they have to be mastered like spikes?:o
They came that way, though some are more rounded with age. You can usuall tell, given what the wear looks like. For the forgiving part, i edited that into my post above.
