Hi Gents - had this razor for awhile, it's in beautiful shape, would love any information you could provide:

Been a while since I have posted anything at all to this fine forum (or any forum for that matter...), so I thought it would be fun to put up a couple pics of the Wade & Butchers I have acquired and have been tinkering around on when time permits. Just recently did some resto work on the FBU to shine up the scales a bit, though it still needs some TLC around the pivot pin/washer.Attachment 141491Attachment 141492Attachment 141493Attachment 141494Attachment 141495

Found out some info about this razor.
It's in pristine shape, as you can see, those are bone scales I was told and it is a true wedge.
Strongly told not to get it honed, it's very rare, this is going to be my first collectible.
Was told that in 30 years, he'd only seen one other in that condition, including the coffin box, and that there may have only been hundreds of this model made, and that someone must have put it away in a safe place and not touched it for 100 years or more.
Going to follow the advice I got, going to let it get cleaned up, partial restore, not honed and put it in a nice display case.
Guess I've become a collector now, mind you, I wonder what the singular word for collector is, as I don't think you can be a "collector" with just one! :p
Nice piece. Those are horn scales, not bone (unless they're synthetic, but they look like horn from the picture). I've seen a couple with this etch, used to have one. IMO I would get it honed, shame to have that and not shave with it.
Nice blade, have never seen Black Bone before.
