Thanks.....this is my first Clauss razor, I hear they have a very good reputation from what I've read in the forums here, looking forward to using this one.

I think I watched that one!!!!!
I got this cute little 6/8 with some rust, but pretty pristine overall:

Also the heel stuck out too much for proper honing:

So that had to go.

Cleaned up okay, here it is before honing:

Took a nice edge and I shaved with it this morning, nice close shave. Very light, thin blade.
Euclid440 has a great tutorial on this here:

I used a small-radius drum sander for most of the steel removal, then moved to a low-grit stone to get the profile exactly right. It's actually a very quick process and I think would be easy to do without power tools (Euclid440's tutorial does it on a diamond lapping plate but even just sandpaper would probably work).
On the honing, these Clauss razors are really high quality and excellently tempered. I finished it on a Shapton 30K, and then stropped a little. It took a really super edge, one of those ones where on the first stroke you wonder whether you were actually shaving but the beard is gone.
Thanks
Here is one that needs a little work. Slight frown and missing bolster. I guess their nickel?

Here is a Clauss 7702 with what I now realize is Mermaid instead of just a woman. Thanks for pointing that out to me Sharptonn. It doesn't look exactly the same as one posted by another member though.

Here are my Clausses. Most of them just needed some elbow grease which is good as I have no restoration skills at all. All very nice shavers.
