So, a slightly better picture off my camera, and a picture of the accompanying paperwork. The certificate reads "38 years of experience", so I guess that puts this razor as a 1953 model.

wow, mint condition and with all the paperwork!
you're a lucky man Jamie, you must have used Jedi mind tricks on Damo to let that one go.
Here's some pics of my soon to arrive Filarmonica Novodur #13. Picked her up cheap on the bay for $61. Needs a little tlc , but I'm sure she'll dance just fine when she's primped and proper again. Borrowed the pics from the auction page, so I apologize for the poor quality. I will post new picks when I receive the lady and clean her up.

Thanks! And yeah, the underwear was... interesting... lol The razors look like they need a bit of cleaning, but should work out just fine otherwise I think.
I also just managed to snag a VERY interesting W&B that I'm posting in the Butcher Block group, but that was from a local antique store, and the first Boker Wedge that I've ever seen before as well (posted in the Boker Brotherhood). $60 CDN for both, total! I have a feeling I'm going to be very happy with all 4 of my recent pickups. :-)
So, I finally got my package today! The Novodur is pretty much in shave ready state, having a very nice edge on her.
I did note a bit of a frown on her, as the first 1/4" of the heel doesn't look like it's been touched by a hone at all. The pin by the blade also may need to be redone, as the peening seems to have not flattened out enough to stop from pulling through the hole. Strangely enough, it seems quite stiff until you get the scales past the tang, then it gets fairly loose, so there you go. Still a faint remnant of the gold wash on her too.
So I guess that's what I get for buying on the 'Bay. I'm sure she'll still shave wonderfully though, just may need more touchups than originally imagined.lol
seriously this seller takes decievinv photos of tbe bladez...i bought twice...first was not as espected but cleaned up nice so i kept it....secknd was 1/4 of the cutting edge missing...shorty razor:) asked for refund...no reply...had to get ebay to step in for refund....
This seller should be avoided unless you're absolutley sure you know what you buy.
It could have been much worst ...trust me you're lucky you got a razor that will clean ul nice and will get straight onnthe hones.
Best regards, Ovidiu.
