Wanna Sell It!
Man that looks kewl. I am a newbie, but there is just something mesmerizing about some razors. I can just gaze at them all day.
Here are my 2 newest. I will get pics of my sub cero shortly.
The pics are done with out as much light as I would like so sorry.
Where are you finding these. Ive been looking for awhile without success
Those were luck. If you are going to the meetup I will bring one with me for you to fondle...
Fillies are my favorite production razors, bar none. My very first razor, given to me by my father, was a Filarmonica 14 round point.
Nice pair Chris! ;)
One of these days I'll end up with one......:tu
Well is Glen doesn't get it I will keep you in mind.
Keep me in mind first :)
Come to the meetup and I will bring them to play with.
I cant..haha
Im in NY with no time off from work :(
My 6/8 sub cero is my favorite razor; incredibly soft blade.
Love my Fillys!:)
I tried to look the other way but could not resist. :nono:
I just bought this Filarmonica 6/8 (#13) Doble Temple, Sello de Oro
How did I do on the price?
Good to know you outbid me this morning :P
I apologize, I had no personal intentions.
Somehow I feel it is likely that the same seller will come with another one, he sold two before.
So I'd keep an eye on him. You will get yours someday soon:tu
Its no problem actually...
I usually snipe..but I went High because i knew I would be in bed when it ended.
well that is pretty normal just don't look at the fact he tried to sell it for far less 4 times for less with no takers. Now someone posts a filly thread and look what happens...
So here goes. These are the most awesomeest razors in the world and I will sell my NOS mint double for $500. Wonder if that will work:roflmao
I certainly got triggered by this post.
I was looking for a 6/8 square point in the first place and when I saw the classical etching and the tang on that #13 Filly I got hooked and lost self control and went:eek: and started jumping across the room.
Well enjoy in good health.
I still kind of regret seling my Medallon Taurino (at least for so little). I think it was Bruce who bought it, so I hope he's enjoying it.
And there it is..., the same seller is offering a new Filly #13...

come on gentlemen step right up, step right up. A troubling situation has arrived in the razor club and that is the use of thumbnail pictures. I know that some of you old timers still remember when the razor clubs were a thing of beauty! with large glossy pictures of razors and we viewed until our hearts content. but those days are through it would seem. I beseech all the members of the razor clubs to take the poll in the general section and vote to restore large pictures to our beloved razor clubs. It is up to us gent and together we can restore these clubs to there former glory!!!!!!

Hi Eric, gents,
Last week, My barber gave me his 3 Filarmonica's he had stored many years in his home. Sadly, they are in very bad shape. He had these razors since the 60's, when he was an apprentice barber. He tells me that he shaved so many people that the razors were rapidly worn out. Some days, he could shave between 10 and 20 men! That's why the Filly's I got are not 7/8, nor 6/8... they are a lot shorter than that. Except on #13. I believe once I re-establish the bevel again, it will be about 5/8.
This razor looks a lot like Eric's (crichton). It says Filarmonica 13 Jose Montserrat Pou. Doesn't mention the "Doble Temple". The etching is gone, so I can't tell what the gold wash said.
Eric, what's the size of your razor? Is it 6/8? Could there be different sizes for the #13 model? The most common size we see here for the razor is 7/8.
So, what are the production dates for these razors? The barber told me he had them since the 60's, when he went overseas to fight our "Vietnam version" war - the Colonial war in Africa.
Once I restore it, you gents are taking a look at it. :D
I had to do some real work on this one (was cracked) but is now in great shape. Cutting edge is about 2" IIRC.
Wow Alex, is this a Nr. 15 ? Never seen one before
You made the blade shorter, right?
[Well I must admit I thought those Filly's were awful expensive but I had to bite the bullet and find out what the fuss was about. Damn! I get it now. By far the best shaver in my collection is the #13. I haven't got the #14 yet but I'm pretty excited about that! Also kudos to the one who nailed the Sub Cero yesterday for ~$100. You just got me by a second or 2...
