I am very glad to hear it! I am looking for some more of those - they show up every once in a while, and they do make excellent shavers.

That is one of the best and pretty shavers I own, for the newly made razor this is just amazing!

Beautiful! I had one of those, and she shaved very nicely. Congratulations! Fyi ~ I think it is "Medaille Argt." The "Argt." is short for "Argent" or "silver".
It looks like you are building a very nice collection of French straights.
Thank you. May be you are right, unfortunately my French ended with the ability to order beer  Deux presión s'il vous plaît :beer1:

Well here's my entry into French shavers.
Some months ago i bought a Le Grelot razor with a broken blade because the faux tortoise scales looked beautiful, just needed some cleaning. Put them into one of my zillion boxes in my garage, waiting for the better day to come and almost forgot them.
Few weeks ago i spent some time in Tartu Estonia and saw surprisingly in the antique store several Russian, 1 Crown & Sword and Le Grelot razor with a beautiful blade and typical black scales. With 60 krones (4 Euros) Le Grelot became mine. I didn't have to think it for too long time.
Had to clean the blade and remove some pittings. Rescaled with those faux tortoise scales i already had and here's the result. Still needs to get sharpened.
Sorry for the picture quality. I know my skills with camera needs much improvement.
My first and (so far) only Grelot: 6/8" 1/4 Grind
