Opinel had never forge any straight razors, they just buy them to another manufacture of Thiers, that brand their name on it...It was a very common practice as soon as the 19th century
Therefor, I can't understand their price ?

Like the Opinel, I worked the scales myself for my own personal enjoyment. I do not intent to fake anything or pretend this is vintage.
I just had fun doing this, and like the way it looks.
The scrimshaw is a good idea. I believe that the maker was Paul Popin to Chaumont, a known cutler also for his clippers
My three Big Feaux-Frameback Razors, i dont like the heavy english Meatchoppers, the french Framebacks are much more my Thing, especially the Razor on the Top is thin grounded and a real smooth shaver :-)

The one in the Middle is an old Rousselon a Nogent, maybe the oldest of the three, heavier than the others and similar to some early english Framebacks, it has a rigid blade and feels much like a wedge.
Yeah, he really looks like Wades' faux-framebacks !
