Nice score on that Pacific welcome to the SSS
On the "Master" question above I am NOT positive but I think it is part of the Barber series a pic would be great...

Introducing the before pic of my Shumate President. Hope it gets me in the SSS, I also hope to do it justice.

WOW! Is there still metal there?
That one doesn't look to be promising :( Be interesting to see what comes of it...keep us posted!
Noope.
You're right, It wasn't. I don't believe it's a Shumate, I can't make out the stamp. It looks like a triangle or maybe an open razor to the left of a C or G*** Cu**** Inc. USA. Cobo, Gebo, Geba Cutlery... I don't know, whatever it is it's toast. It was also plated. I don't suppose a Shumate Box will get me in the club lol.
Hello all, i saw somewhere on this post that Austin, Texas Shumate razors are hard to come by, i recently found this one at an antique store in houston for 10 bucks, it has some obvious wear and the previous owner didnt finish his resoration but being from Texas myself i couldnt pass up anything that has Texas stamped on it. its about fifth out of twelve in a line of razors i have to restore but ill post more before and afters when i get to it. Picked up this Shumate "Barber" just last weekend. Cleaned it up some and honed her up. Turns out to be a mighty fine shaver (as you all already know)

To limit my RAD, I have been focusing on US made razors. Shumates seem to be available, affordable, restoreable and turn into great shavers.

Very nice. Never say never. Ya' might just walk into a shop some day and find a pristine seven day set for a song. Stranger things have happened, I'm sure.
