Stainless will still rust if you forget about them and leave them in less that desirable conditions.

I got my first really great shave from my Dovo 6/8 Special that I bought from SRD. It's the only modern production razor in my rotation, but it's every bit as good a shaver as my vintage blades. Being replaceable, it's also my travel razor.
I always thought that my dovos would give TSA fits but they didn't. I always put them in checked bags. My Gillette Super Speed gave TSA problems not my dovos even though both were packed in hcecked bag. Wierd hunh?
I have 3 Dovo's
Pearlex
Bismarck 5/8
New C-mon made by Dovo
Love them all!!
I have a Dovo 25 with ebony scales that shaves nice. It was my first straight.
I would love to get a Stainless.
As I'm sure many others have followed the same path, my very first razor was a Dovo Best Quality 6/8. After shaving with 20 or so razors, I would still rank that blade among my top 5. I ended up selling it, and at this point, I am sad that I did.
I plan on purchasing another Dovo soon. I was always happy with the shave I got from my "Best" even having no technique or skill.
I would like to purchase a Renaissance even though many despise the look of this blade. To me, it has character and I am waiting for it to be included in the SRD "monthly straight" discount.
When I get it, I will happily and proudly join this club.
I have a Dovo "Best Quality" razor. So far it's my only straight, so I really don't have anything to compare it to, but I love shaving with the thing.
My first "new" razor was a Dovo 6/8 Best Quality purchased from SRD. If you want a basic razor that gives a good shave without a lot of extra eye candy etc. give one a try.:)
My first two, and only two, razors are Dovo. 6/8 Bismarck with black scales and the 5/8 black micarta. Just got the micarta today and shaves great! But then again...so does anything honed by Lynn. Would like to add a pearlex and a spike point to the collection.
