Thread: Italian Straight Razor P. Chiassai 6/8" from Siena

I have several Razors of this Type and wanted this one just because it comes from Italy, but it should be used and i dont use it, the Razor is too fine to be forgotten in the Desk so i hope that someone could give it an active Life again
The Razor is 6/8"+ wide (see pics) and in good shape, i guess its from the 30s but dont know it exactly. The Scales are made of Ebonite and show some light scratches because of use, they arent damaged the only major thing is a Letter "L" that has been scratched into the backside.
The Blade is in good shape and shave ready, i think it wasnt used much. There are the typical signs of age as especially the Tang darkened a bit.
The Steel is hard and i felt some similarities to french Razor when i honed it, the Blade has been grounded thin between 1/2 and 3/4 hollow.
